My wife and I had looked at houses for several years thinking one day we would find the our dream house. Eventually we came to the realization that we were never going to find the 'perfect' house, so we started looking for land to build on.

By chance we ended up at Sunset Ridge Estates in Goldsby. That is the first time we met Jana Everett of Everett, Inc. She showed us a couple of homes she had built in the subdivision and even arranged for us to visit homes she had already sold. Everyone we met had good things to say about Everett, Inc., but none of the homes were quite right for us. We ended up buying a lot in the subdivision with thoughts of eventually building.

We saved for two years and looked at too many houses to count to get ideas on house plans and to get a feel for which builder we would like to use. During this time, Jana would call so often to tell us that the price of brick was going up, or that roofing was getting hard to find or whatever the current news in the building industry was. She was never pushy and not once did I get the feeling she was trying to convince us to employ her as a builder.

When the time came to finally begin building, we had every intention of interviewing builders and putting them through a strenuous vetting process. The first builder we talked to was Everett, Inc. We did not speak to another builder. After setting down with Jana and her husband, Stan, we were convinced there was no need to look further.

Jana and Stan are what I like to call 'straight shooters'. If they tell you something, you can rely on it. Up front I told them that I could be very demanding and expected things to be done a certain way. Jana assured me that was not a problem and that she was confident Everett, Inc. could build our home to my satisfaction. And they did.

From picking out a plan to the final walk through, Jana and Stan guided us through each and every decision. If you had a question, they were not afraid to give you an honest answer, whether you wanted it or not. Their subcontractors are second to none and each and everyone of them finished on time and within the budget we gave them. There were no surprises and the quality of our new home is excellent.

I have friends who also built homes the same time as we did. There experiences were unpleasant and very costly. I would begin to build another house with Jana and Stan tomorrow and I tell people looking for a builder they would be crazy to build a house with anyone but Everett, Inc.
